Five workflows to check before you choose
1. Classmate and guest names
A purchaser's name is not the same as two attendee names. Try an Alumni + Guest order and confirm the export contains one row per guest, the name they want on a badge, and the original purchaser for follow-up. Make former or maiden names optional and explain why you ask.
2. Meal choices and accessibility requests
Determine whether custom questions apply once per order or to each ticket. For a two-person order with different meal choices, the caterer needs two answers. Collect only necessary information and restrict access to sensitive responses.
3. Private invitations
Check whether an unlisted link, access code or password matches the committee's needs. An unlisted page is not necessarily access-controlled. Test the actual restriction before sharing the link outside the class group.
4. Committee permissions and handover
Use named accounts rather than a shared finance password. Confirm a door volunteer can scan tickets without changing payout details. Document who owns the event and how the next committee will receive the final records.
5. Changes, refunds and the final headcount
Check how a guest name is corrected, how a ticket transfers, and how refunded tickets appear in the headcount. Export the list before the catering deadline, then reconcile late sales and cancellations separately.

Manual payments can be workable for a small gathering, but the committee must reconcile each payment with each attendee and meal choice. A ticketing tool is useful when it reliably maintains those relationships and records refunds.
Do we need a full reunion website?
Use a fuller website when you need accommodation information, a multi-day schedule or ongoing class communication. If the primary task is one paid dinner, a clear event page linked from your existing class group may be enough.
Which platform is cheapest?
